We understand the importance of sourcing local Territorian labour, working with local suppliers and subcontractors and providing training and development opportunities to up-skill and improve local capabilities.
We recognise the projects we undertake contribute directly, and indirectly to the success of local business and industry in the communities in which we operate. We pride ourselves on engaging a local workforce and materials where possible forging long-lasting relationships within the local community. Select Services endeavors to provide opportunities for Territory based youth through trainees and apprentices from our Darwin office.
We are a member of Territory Proud, an independent community support organisation dedicated to promoting Northern Territory businesses.
Each year we take steps to give back to our local community through sponsorships and donations. These include:
- Palmerston Football Club player sponsorship
- Local Motocross Sponsorship
- Monthly support of Guide Dogs SA/NT
- Annual support for the DIA Variety NT 2016, 2018 and 2019 Golf Days
- On-site recycling on behalf of the Downes Syndrome Society
